Star Wars icon passes away at 60


Known to fans all over the world as princess Leia Organa, the last surviving hope of the Empire, Carrie Fisher has died on December 27 2016 at age 60, after being hospitalized for a cardiac arrest on a flight on December 23. She is survived by her daughter and mother veteran actor Debbie Reynolds.

As soon as media reports hit, of her demise, the whole Hollywood fraternity mourner her loss as Tragic and Devastating. Long-time co-star Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill deeply mourned for her loss.

Fisher was known not only for her role in Star Wars but also her roles in independent movies like Charlie’s Angels: Full throttle, The Blues Brothers, Austin Powers and other short films as well as TV series’ like Sex and the City, The Big Bang Theory, Smallville, 30 Rock, etc.


Not only was she a multi-faceted actor but also a brilliant one. She also reprised her role in the Star Wars reboot Star Wars: The Force Awakens along with Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford, and was reportedly going to do so in the new instalment set for release in 2018 as well.

We also mourn her loss with as she finally becomes one with the force and continues to inspire us for generations.
